Let us help you search the world and explore your family history.

Our society is a Multi-Award Winner

Since 1985, members of our Society have enjoyed meeting others who are researching their family history, no matter where their ancestors lived. We can assist you to discover your ancestry and research your family tree locally, Australia wide and internationally.

Our Research Library is located in the Local Studies/Family History Room, Port Macquarie-Hastings Library, Cnr Grant & Gordon Streets, Port Macquarie. Members are on duty to help with research enquiries on Tuesday & Wednesday from 10am to 3pm.

The general family history resources are available for use during library opening hours. Members who produce their current society membership card to the on-duty librarian can access the society's locked cabinets.
General Meetings are held on the 2nd Saturday of each month (except January). The meetings begin at 1.15pm in the CC MacAdams Music Centre in Lord Street. The centre is behind the Olympic Pool adjacent to Players Theatre with off-street parking and wheelchair access. Enter via the main door from 12.15pm. Entry is $2.00 which includes afternoon tea. Visitors are always given a warm welcome.

Our Society offers a number of support groups covering a variety of topics and general research interests. Further information on these groups can be accessed by clicking on the "Member Support Groups" tab on the main menu.

Keep up to date with Society meetings and events by checking Our Calendar page. You can also link this calendar to your smartphone or computer.

The Society conducts research inquiries for non-local members and non-members. Click on the "Research Service" tab on the main menu for further information and details.

Come along and experience the joy of researching your family history and participate in the activities of the Society.
